"What Will Happen If I Don't Have A Proper Education?"

Veera Bhadra Beeraka converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with his brother nearly nine years ago, he never imagined the changes that would await him. 

​

Growing up in a middle-class Hindu family Veera never imagined going out for two years and preaching Christianity. Sharing the truths that were close to his heart ignited a fire in his heart that spread among those he taught. 

​

After his service in the New Delhi mission, Veeras flame slowly dwindled. He knew there were more steps to be taken, he just was not sure how he could afford to go to a university in America. 

​

Again, the opportunity for change and a new start presented itself through LDS missionaries. 

​

A missionary serving in his home ward asked Vera how much it would cost for him to attend BYU-Idaho. Veera told the missionary the amount and the missionary said to him, "my family wants to pay for your schooling."

​

With that more miracles arose Veera accepts them with arms wide open. Everyday he gives thanks to the generosity to those back in India as well as those at BYU-Idaho.
