Wanting to Rebuild
When Amy Rubio was serving her mission she knew she needed to make a decision.
Where was she going to go to college?
She knew it was important but could not find out what school would be best for her. After some time she spoke with a companion missionary who told her about BYU-Idaho. That resonated with her as she heard about the Church schools from her mom growing up.
When she got to BYU-Idaho she was amazed at how her professors managed to connect the curriculum to God. She always knew she wanted to study Civil Engineering. Growing up her family would travel across the country. During those memorable excursions she realized the roads were in poor shape.
She wants to return to her country and take her knowledge about God and Civil Engineering and use them to repair her country so that future generations can create memories like what her family made when she was young.
